So you see, when you go on an Artificial Intelligence website or app it asks you to write a prompt, and after you finish writing the prompt and click enter, it generates very awesome images which have no copyright. In 2024 AI can solve a lot of problems such as cybersecurity problems by detecting threats.
How do criminals take advantage of AI?
- Deepfake
Criminals create images, audio, and videos of you by taking an image and using AI. They collect your data and find other videos on the internet and then they put the victim’s face on that video. Then, they adjust the color and lights on the video which gives it a better look. These types of videos look very real and you can barely tell that it’s a deepfake video.
2. Malware Development
Malware development is creating software full of viruses to harm the devices where the link is clicked. The criminal does some coding and after they finish it, the software becomes very dangerous because the criminal’s intention is to make you click on the link, which leads you to a suspicious website where your data is being stolen. After doing all this, the hacker demands some ransomware in return for the data that is stolen from you.
3. Cyberattacks
There are different types of cyberattacks and in this article, I will go over phishing cyberattacks. Phishing attacks involve manipulating users into giving their passwords, usernames, and bank details. The hackers send links in emails that look similar to the real company for example they would change Paypal to PayPall and the users cannot see this difference and they would click on the link that has been sent to them. The link takes them to a malware that the hacker created and it would ask them to fill out the form with their details. This way the hackers get access to your different bank and social media accounts.

In conclusion, be aware of the suspicious activities that are happening on the internet in 2024. There is a high chance that you could be a victim of these dangerous hackers who are trying to get into your accounts. Have secured passwords which is difficult for the hackers to crack.
