Phishing

Phishing is one of the most popular frauds and most effective frauds in the world right now. During this type of scam, a message is sent to the person with a fraud email, and when the victim clicks on the link that is provided in the email their account gets hacked and they do not realize that they have just gotten hacked. The emails that are sent from the scammer may contain an attachment and when that attachment is opened, the malware gets installed on the person’s device who opened it.

The opening of the link can cause the person to not get back into their account and not have access to any of the previous things they did on their account. The attachment includes fake login pages that look very similar to the real ones but a normal person does not realize that it’s fake and they do the things that it asks them to do which leads to the account being hacked. Most of the phishing attacks are done by black hat hackers which are bad and try to scam a common person.

Fake SEO

There is a scam called “SEO Scams” and these types of scams are very dangerous and harmful to your website. These types of scams contact you for SEO services and tell you that they provide great SEO for your website which will make it locally popular and you will get tons of traffic to your website. In reality, this is fake and provides 0 benefits to your website. At first, they tell you that your current SEO is useless and doesn’t provide any good to you.

They promise to make your website very famous and when someone searches for a similar business to yours, your website will appear on top but, this is all fake and they just want to steal your money. They tell you that you have to pay monthly/yearly fees and once you give them money they do not do anything like they promised. The scammers provide the website owners with a fraud hosting service that is doing nothing to their website other than adding malware.

Lottery Scam

The lottery scam is a specific type of scam where the scammers send a message to the victim telling them they have won a grand prize in a lottery. The message is sent to them by email, phone call, or even text message through their social media and website contact information. The scammers let the victim know that they only have a few hours to claim their prize.

After the person receives the message, they contact the scammer on how to claim the prize and the scammer asks them for money. For the greed of the grand prize, the victim agrees to the scams and sends the scammer the amount of money they ask for. Meanwhile, the victim thinks that they are going to receive their prize the scammer runs away with the victim’s money and never contacts them again.

Conclusion

Now, I will be giving some tips on how to keep ourselves away from the phishing scams. The main thing you want to do is to verify the email that you received the email from. For example, the email could be sent from “gmmail.com” instead of “gmail.com”. If the email is sent from a fake email then you should try to report the email and keep others aware of it as well.

In conclusion, try to stay away from the scams and make sure the people you know are not becoming victims of these types of scams.
